Mars One Would Consider Choosing UAE As A Training Site
Now that the 100 candidates were selected, Mars One will have to train these people for 10 years, until the departure of the first mission.
The chosen place must be dry, arid, and hostile, but cold ... that's why the place of the Devon island comes to mind, which has been the NASA training place, in partnership with the Mars Initiative, and which will be soon by the Mars Society. But ultimately, the choice of Dubai seems a good idea, a very good idea!
First, the Gulf States have for years shown their attraction for media projects, like the World Cup Soccer in Qatar in 2022, and the tallest tower in the world the Burj Khalifa for example. Moreover in Dubai, we speak all languages, it is a global city, and that's not to mention the wealth of the country.
This is why the UAE could be the perfect place for Mars One, which would finance the project by creatig the biggest reality-TV in the world.
And how not to start dreaming larger space Odyssey of our history, in the most futuristic city in the world ...
Finally, and this is an important point, UAE have recently unveiled their first space mission, in partnership with the CNES (french Space Angency), to send a robotic probe on Mars by the year 2021.
So the country has ambitions in space and then may actively participate in the Mars One project, ensuring the presence of this country in all our future history book.
